Dr. Carlos Ruiz

Dr. Ruiz has had a passion for working in healthcare since childhood. Starting his career in a pediatric emergency department, he got to work with a wide range of healthcare professionals and assisted with procedures for various injuries and illnesses. During his time with Be the Match, he worked in phlebotomy, assisted with stem cell collections for cancer therapy and research, and helped make bone marrow donations possible. 

Dr. Ruiz is fluent in both English and Spanish and has a strong desire to impact the Latin communities of the Kansas City Metro. He grew up in a small southern border town of Texas, completed a BS in Biology from University of Texas San Antonio in 2011, and earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland University Kansas City in 2023.  

For Dr. Ruiz, this career path has been incredibly inspiring! Being a Chiropractor with a specialty in myofascial release has opened his eyes to what health and wellness can mean to a patient. He currently treats a variety of patients using manual muscle therapies, chiropractic adjustments, Flexion Distraction Technique and dry needling along with therapeutic exercises for all ages and ability levels. With a background in coaching, Dr. Ruiz believes a team effort approach leads to improved patient outcomes.
