Dr. John Wilson

Education: Louisiana State University and Parker University

Dr. Wilson’s journey to becoming a chiropractor at MyoCore Las Colinas began with a personal understanding of pain and healing. The oldest of his siblings, he learned early about resilience after his father passed away when he was eight. He channeled his grief into sports, finding a passion for football and baseball that led him to travel the country as a young athlete. This athletic drive, while rewarding, also led to a series of significant injuries, including multiple fractures and a torn shoulder labrum that required two surgeries before graduating high school. These experiences taught him a crucial lesson: the importance of proper management and rehabilitation for long-term health.

His firsthand experience with injury fueled his academic pursuits. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a focus on Human Movement Science from Louisiana State University (LSU). After a planned gap year was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, he enrolled at Parker University. This unexpected turn led him directly to his calling, and he graduated with his chiropractic degree in April 2024. His background gives him a unique and empathetic perspective on the challenges patients face, having personally navigated the path from injury to recovery.

Today, Dr. Wilson brings a compassionate and comprehensive approach to his work. He understands the struggles of those dealing with chronic pain, recovering from car accidents, or managing conditions like autoimmune diseases. His goal is to help patients find relief and achieve lasting wellness through corrective exercise, chronic pain management, and strategies for surgery prevention or postponement. He is dedicated to partnering with each patient to create a personalized plan that not only addresses their current pain but also empowers them to live a healthier, more active life.

Outside of the office Dr. Wilson enjoys being outside and exercising at the Katy Trail, White Rock Lake, and local gyms, as well as eating at local restaurants and spending time with family and friends.
