Dr. Katie Benson
Our Chiropractic Clinic on the Campus of Overland Park Regional in Overland Park Chiropractor
Education: Cleveland Chiropractic College
Dr. Benson’s loyal patients love the fact that she is interested in them as not just patients, but as people. A friendly, personable professional, she provides a non-judgmental healing zone that puts everyone at ease and treats the whole person – which requires understanding patients’ life experiences, needs and concerns, then thoroughly answering questions.
Growing up in a small-town West Point Nebraska and Topeka Kansas bonded her with family, including the sister who accidentally helped Dr. Benson discover her calling by emulating a stunt they saw on Dancing with the Stars. Practice for the handstand flip went smoothly, but then when they tried to perform it for their parents, her sister didn’t catch her legs and let her back drop right onto the hardwood floor. After hobbling for a while, Dr. Benson met a chiropractor who suggested treatment, which she initially resisted. Needless to say, that chiropractor, who was also a Cleveland Chiropractic College instructor, not only resolved her pain but explained her treatment, and inspired her beloved career.
For Dr. Benson, wellness and happiness are centered around outdoor activities and family time. She loves crafting with her Cricut machine, running, and traveling to hike mountains or swim oceans with her husband and two daughters. She serves as director of the Kansas Chiropractic Association (KCA) Kansas City metro division, is an active American Chiropractic Association (ACA) member and advisor for the Student American Chiropractic Association Leadership Conference.
Since earning her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College, Dr. Benson has been specializing in myofascial release, McKenzie Method, pre-natal and post-partum care, as well as instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization.
